A renowned investigative journalist remains firm on how he believes the US President met his current wife. Andrew Lownie has faced his share of backlash for suggesting Donald Trump was introduced to Melania through Jeffrey Epstein.
The First Lady has threatened a billion-dollar lawsuit over these reports. That doesn’t seem to scare the British historian, who has not changed his opinion on the matter. Donald and the late sex offender had a social and professional relationship and were photographed together at events many times.
A source claimed “Jeffrey Epstein introduced Donald Trump to wife Melania”
That passage is no longer in his bestselling book, but that doesn’t mean it’s not true. At least that’s the claim Andrew is making about how Donald and Melania became known to one another. The theory that Jeffrey introduced them was one he initially put in the novel Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York. The book, which focuses mainly on former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has since had the part about Jeffrey’s introduction removed from future publications.
Even so, the historian tells RadarOnline that his reliable source mentioned that “Jeffrey Epstein introduced Donald Trump to his wife, Melania.” He says, “My source has proved to be reliable on everything he gave me.” Andrew adds that everything was double-checked.
Andrew isn’t the only one who threw out this notion. Biographer Michael Wolff previously stated that Jeffrey knew Melania well through modelling circles.
That, however, contradicts the First Lady’s version of events. In her memoir, she says that she and Donald met during New York City’s fashion week while at the Kit Kat Club in 1998. She adds the now-President walked up to her despite having an attractive blonde woman by his side.
Melania stated that early on, she had been captivated by Donald’s charm.
Donald and Melanie have been married for over 20 years and have one son together, Barron. The First Lady voiced her displeasure at Donald’s son Eric last month for mentioning Barron’s name on a talk show.
