Beatles Movie Gets 8 New Actors Added To Cast

Sam Mendes‘ ambitious The Beatles project, which will tell the tale of the Fab Four through four different movies set from the perspective of the four members, has added a host of new cast members. The films will have a simultaneous release on April 7, 2028.

The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event has eight new cast members, filling in prominent roles in the story of The Beatles. Sony announced on Thursday that David Morrissey, Leanne Best, James Norton, Harry Lloyd, Bobby Schofield, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill, Arthur Darvill, and Adam Pally have joined the cast of the four-part film.

Morrissey, best known for his role in The Walking Dead, will play Jim McCartney, Paul McCartney’s father. Leanne Best, meanwhile, takes on the role of Mimi, John Lennon’s aunt. Norton, best known for his role in Happy Valley, fills the role of George Epstein, one of the most instrumental people behind The Beatles’ success. Lloyd plays George Martin, the long-time music producer who worked with the band.

Moreover, The Coventant’s Bobby Schofield will take on the role of road manager and trusted confidant, Neil Aspinall. Hoffmann-Gill portrays roadie Mal Evans. Darvill takes on the role of press officer Derek Taylor and, finally, Pally stars as controversial music manager Allen Klein.

The primary cast members for The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event were already announced. The films will feature Paul Mescal as McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. Meanwhile, Mia McKenna-Bruce, Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, and Aimee Lou Wood star as Maureen Starkey, Linda McCartney, Yoko Ono, and Pattie Boyd.

The ambitious project will see four different films centered around the perspective of each of the members.

All four films will premiere in theatres at once on April 7, 2028.
