Zoe Saldana’s kids have not watched any of the “Avatar” movies. In a recent interview, the mother of three revealed that she would like her children to experience her movies when they are “absolutely ready.”
However, they have watched a few of their mom’s hitmakers, including “Guardians of the Galaxy.” For those unversed, she and her husband, Marco Perego-Saldana, share three sons — twins Cy and Bowie (11) and Zen (8).
Zoe Saldana reveals her kids can be picky about their movies
Zoe Saldana’s kids can be picky about movies, the 47-year-old told E! News. Her three sons have not yet watched the “Avatar” series, but are open to experiencing it when they are “absolutely ready.” “You know, my boys are gentle. They’re beautiful flowers. I mean, they’re resilient like you wouldn’t imagine, but they pace themselves, and I respect them for that,” she added.
Saldana claimed that her boys understand that it might not be the time to indulge in the sci-fi franchise yet. But, it doesn’t mean they would never watch the popular movie series. “My older ones told me, ‘Like, in a year, mama, we’re going to be ready for ‘Avatar,’ we promise.’ I’m like, okay,” the Hollywood star shared.
However, her kids have seen one of the movies in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise. Furthermore, they have recently gotten into “Transformers.” Saldana also revealed that the trio is more into “Adam Sandler movies.” However, she did admit that some of his films are “sometimes not that appropriate for 11-year-olds.”
Although the children have not watched most of their mother’s work, they only have high praise for her. During the premiere of “Elio” in June, Cy and Bowie appreciated their mom in a joint interview. “We just want to say we’re really proud of our mom for everything she’s done,” they said.
Saldana will next be seen in “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” which is releasing on December 19.
