The View’s Whoopi Goldberg Has Warning for Donald Trump

Donald Trump needs to stop focusing on his legacy and worry about helping others. That’s the message Whoopi Goldberg is sending to the US President. On Friday, Donald was given the first-ever FIFA Peace Prize at the 2026 World Cup draw. It’s an honor that some at The View called a fake award.

One of Whoopi’s co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin called it a cringe moment. She and Whoopi believe that the President is trying too hard to leave behind a strong reputation when he leaves the White House.

The Academy Award-winning actress had a message for Donald on Monday’s show. Whether or not he’ll like the message? Unclear, at least for now.

Any more awards or accolades the President receives between now and the end of his second term in office are irrelevant. At least that’s what Whoopi believes.

The longtime moderator called out Donald on Monday’s edition of The View for allegedly caring more about himself than the American people. “You haven’t been the president for anybody,” according to Whoopi. “He’s a guy who likes to get butt-kissed.” She says Donald said he’d be a President for all.

Whoopi is among the many TV hosts who have strongly criticized the President. In September, she assured fans no one would silence them. That came amid Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension from ABC for his words following the Charlie Kirk tragedy. The President and Vice President, JD Vance, praised the decision by the same network as The View. Jimmy has since resumed his late-night hosting duties on ABC.

The White House blasted the Nobel committee this fall for not awarding the President the Peace Prize. FIFA President Gianni Infantino said this year that Donald deserved that prize for his efforts to broker a ceasefire in Gaza.

Back in October, Donald claimed that he’d stopped multiple wars.
