Cardi B arrived at Stefon Diggs’ 32nd birthday celebration in a jet-black dress, which featured a low-cut neckline and was held up by two thick straps. The body-hugging number extended up to her ankles. Its back showcased a body-length gold zipper set between two narrow panels that left the singer’s rear completely bare. Adding to the dramatic open back illusion were rows of interlinked gold chains and grommets that ran vertically from the neckline to the hem.
Celebrity fashion designer Candice Cuoco crafted the dress. According to Harper’s Bazaar, Cuoco took to Instagram to share that Maison Chardon’s designs inspired the back of the dress. Meanwhile, the built-in bra was courtesy of Frederick’s of Hollywood. She further revealed that the gold chains were made adjustable using jewellery-grade clips. The dress had 98 chains, 98 hand-sewn clips, and 192 adjustable clips.
Styled by her longtime stylist, Kollin Carter, the Grammy winner paired the black dress with Rene Caovilla heels. She carried a Bottega Veneta golden Intrecciato-leather clutch to complete the look. Furthermore, her hair was styled in a curly updo, with a few strands framing her face.
Meanwhile, Diggs’ outfit coordinated with his girlfriend’s, as he opted for a military style black Hussar jacket with gold braid details. He completed his look with a pair of light-wash jeans and black boots. Last month, the couple welcomed their first child, a boy. Cardi B shared the news on Instagram in a heartfelt post. This is the singer’s fourth child and the NFL wide receiver’s third.
