Charlize Theron‘s Instagram photos from December 8 in a fully sheer catsuit from Norma Kamali screamed all things bold and lacy. While the actor is an icon herself, she donned the outfit to pay tribute to the legendary Jerry Hall. For those unversed, Hall was one of the most sought-after models of her generation and transitioned to acting later.

In the fully sheer catsuit photos that Charlize Theron shared, she recreated some old pictures of Jerry Hall. Donning a Norma Kamali all-lace black bodysuit that featured a floral pattern design, the 50-year-old star posed with one knee up, just like Hall did in a similar catsuit in one of the pictures.
Theron wore a thin belt around her waist, matching her look to Hall’s from the older pictures. Styled by Leslie Fremar, she completed the look with gold strappy heels, matching gold earrings, and a bracelet. Her long blonde hair was styled in tousled waves, while her minimal makeup pulled the look together.
Theron tagged the location for the first carousel as Studio 54 in New York City, where Hall was photographed in the catsuit. Studio 54 was a nightclub that many celebrities attended back in the day. Hall’s ex-partner Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Liza Minnelli, Elizabeth Taylor, and Freddie Mercury are some other famous faces who often went to the club. However, the club shut down in the late ’80s and is now a Broadway theatre.
In the second Instagram carousel, the Academy Award winner shared more poses in the bold bodysuit. One shot showed her lounging in a white bathtub, while others captured her with her hands in her hair. Several snaps hinted that she had worn the outfit to a party, including one where she posed alongside a friend dressed in Elton John’s sparkling Los Angeles Dodgers–inspired uniform.
