It’s beginning to feel like a daily habit, Donald Trump attacking female reporters. The latest to feel the President’s wrath is Rachel Scott. The ABC News reporter asked him a question on Monday.
Rachel wanted to know if the President would release the full video footage of recent airstrikes on Venezuelan fishing boats suspected of smuggling drugs. Donald’s response: “Let me just tell you, you are an obnoxious – a terrible, actually a terrible reporter.” He added that whatever Pete Hegseth wants to do is fine with him. Pete currently serves as the Secretary of Defense for the US.
ABC News reporter Rachel Scott came under fire from President Trump
Going on a tirade against women journalists feels almost like a routine for the President. However, it seems like Rachel’s presence and question are ones the President really doesn’t take kindly to. In May, Donald went off on her when questioning his acceptance of a controversial $400 million private jet from Qatar’s royal family. Donald’s response included the two words we’ve all become accustomed to hearing him say, “fake news.”
The President went after Catherine Lucey, who asked about the release of the Jeffrey Epstein Files, prompting Donald to tell her, “Quiet Piggy.” He called New York Times journalist Katie Rogers “ugly” in a Truth Social tirade. She’s done a column questioning the President’s mental state. He asked another female reporter if they were stupid when she wanted to know about Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a man suspected of killing a National Guard member.
Some people online have suggested enough is enough, with some believing the President is a miserable person. Others are praising Rachel, saying Donald’s aggressive attitude towards her is proof of how well the ABC News reporter is doing her job.
