Jason Derulo: ‘I’ll Never Be Alone In a Room With a Woman I Work With Again’

Jason Derulo recently addressed the sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him by singer Emaza Dilan during an appearance on In Depth with Graham Bensinger. While reflecting on the case, he made a shocking remark, stating that he no longer wishes to work with women, and further explained how the allegations have affected his professional life. Although the lawsuit was previously dismissed, it has now been refiled.

Jason Derulo comments on working with women

During an episode of In Depth with Graham Bensinger, Derulo shared the lesson he took from his lawsuit. He revealed, “I will never be alone in a room with a woman that I work with… ever, ever again. There’s truth in every joke. But it’s a sad truth.” He also responded to one of the lawsuit’s bizarre allegations that he sacrificed “a goat in a sexual ritual,” calling it completely false and unbelievable.

Additionally, Derulo also shared how the lawsuit affected not just his professional life and finances but also caused hurt to his pride and image. He said, “That case was dismissed twice. And I lost so many brand deals and relationships off of a story that was not even slightly believable.” Derulo is also equally disappointed by the image the media has created of him, following the allegations. “F-ck the money. I have one name that I work so hard to stay clean… somebody can just say anything? That’s the world we live in,” he said. “Why didn’t they post the dismissal at least? Wouldn’t that be fair?” he said. “God d-mn. None of that? It’s crazy,” Derulo added.

In October 2023, Dilan, who used to work at Derulo’s label, Future History, accused him of “quid pro quo sexual harassment, intimidation, and breach of contract.” She alleged that he often lashed out in anger and pushed her to drink and be intimate with him. The case was eventually dismissed in 2024, but has been refiled again recently in New York in light of his new comments.
