Although Dr. Heavenly Kimes is a part-time cast member in Season 12 of Married to Medicine, she’s got a full-time amount of drama on her plate. She launched a bid for Georgia State Representative; she has lingering beef with some of her castmates, and somehow, she still finds time to be a dentist, too.
In Episode 2, we learned that Dr. Heavenly was also navigating some serious issues at home. She found out that her husband, Dr. Damon Kimes, had been keeping a huge secret from her for two years, and no, it’s not a baby.
Dr. Damon Kimes hid son’s arrest from Dr. Heavenly

You might have seen the headlines earlier this year that Dr. Heavenly’s son, Damon Kimes Jr., had encountered some legal troubles. Dr. Heavenly found out the news along with the rest of us because her husband chose not to tell her.
Damon Jr. was arrested in February 2023 for aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer. He allegedly drove his vehicle towards a public safety officer at Georgia State University.
Earlier this year, a court indicted him on the charges, which is when it caught the attention of M2M fans. Dr. Heavenly went that entire time without knowing the arrest ever happened because her husband chose not to tell her.
“If I had to learn about my son being arrested on social media, what else is out there?” Heavenly asked her husband in Episode 2.
When Heavenly found out the news, she went into a fit of rage, lashing out at her son. The situation has left them estranged for months.
“I don’t remember what I said,” Heavenly said. “It was probably a lot of cussing; a lot of profanity was there. He just got his stuff together, and he left the house, and I have physically not seen him in months.”
In a joint confessional, Dr. Damon admitted that he kept the news about the arrest from his wife because he thought he “could take care of” the situation. Obviously, that didn’t work, but he didn’t seem to have regrets about his approach to the situation.
He said, “Well, either way, I did what I did. If anyone has an opinion on it, they can say whatever they want.”
Married to Medicine airs Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo, and you can stream it the next day on Peacock.
