Timothee Chalamet’s ‘Marty Supreme’ Pop-Up Draws Cop Intervention

Timothee Chalamet never does anything halfway. Whether it’s his red carpet-ready looks, his charming movie ensembles, or his acting choices for movies, he always knows just how to ace it to pure perfection. This is perhaps why Chalamet’s “Marty Supreme” pop-up made an expected splash.

But the merch collection, which is tied to his upcoming movie, reportedly ended up drawing such a massive turnout that the Los Angeles Police Department had to step in. Now, that was the unexpected twist in the tale that nobody saw coming. The intimate event that was supposed to promote “Marty Supreme” actually ended up being a major safety concern for the public.

Crowds at Timothee Chalamet’s ‘Marty Surpreme’ LA pop-up prompts LAPD intervention

This viral clip that made its way to X (formerly Twitter) showed how the uncontrollably increasing crowd of screaming fans legit filled the sidewalks. In fact, Timothee Chalamet’s ardent fans were specifically camping out while chanting his name. They reportedly kept trying to push and pull to get closer to the merch setup, in hopes of seeing their favorite star make an appearance.

Alas, as the crowd swelled, safety concerns started increasing, and ultimately, this led to LAPD officers stepping in to take control and disperse the gathering one by one. These seemingly strict actions actually became necessary because the sheer volume of turnout also managed to completely disrupt the area’s traffic movement. To say that this quickly spiralled out of control wouldn’t be an understatement.

At the end of the day, even though the event might have reportedly been wrapped up quicker than expected for Chalamet fans, it was a major success for “Marty Supreme.” The buzz for the upcoming movie just keeps on growing louder. Plus, let’s be honest, a LAPD-intervened event? This had only added to Chalamet’s movie’s pre-release mystique. In fact, many stars like Tom Brady, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and Hailey Bieber have also been seen wearing “Marty Supreme’s” exclusive merch. So, who wouldn’t want to catch this one, now?
