Emma Chamberlain just set the record straight – or, at least, she tried to – on rumors that she and Jack Harlow dated. It comes after the pair were caught on camera being flirty not once, but twice!

Remember that viral 2022 Met Gala interview between Emma and Jack? You know, the one where they flirted away in front of the camera and then said a parting “love ya” to each other? If you don’t remember that one, perhaps you remember their encounter at the following year’s Met Gala. Spoiler: there was yet more flirty banter.
Unsurprisingly, the very flirtatious encounters sparked romance rumors between Emma and Jack. Now, several years on, Emma has given an honest answer on whether they actually dated.
Taking a lie detector test (yep, really!) as part of an interview with Vanity Fair, Emma firmly denied dating the rapper … but her result on that question came back inconclusive.
“What?” Emma exclaimed when the result came through, adding that Jack would be shocked as well. “We truly never,” she continued before trailing off. “Well, anyway. I screwed myself there.”
Addressing their flirty banter himself, Jack told Jimmy Fallon in 2022 that the viral clip should be considered “art.”
“There’s so many ways to interpret that,” he said of the clip just days after the Met Gala. “Everyone has a different take on what was going through our heads, so I’ll leave it up to interpretation.”
In response, Emma told Jimmy on a later episode of The Tonight Show: “That’s sweet. I love it!”
“When I’m doing these interviews, it’s blank up here,” she added, pointing to her head. “When I go home, and I watch the interviews again, I’m watching a completely different person. I’m not thinking about anything.”
