Paltrow and Elordi came face to face during the latest edition of Variety & CNN’s Actors on Actors series, where they discussed various topics, including their upcoming professional ventures. The conversation between the two Hollywood stars began with the 53-year-old revealing how she got to know about Elordi.
Paltrow mentioned that her two kids, Apple and Moses, introduced her to Elordi. She also disclosed that they were jealous because she got to talk to him, while they had been following him for much longer. Subsequently, the Avengers: Endgame actress expressed the love of her kids for Elordi saying, “My children are very jealous. My son looks up to you, my daughter is in love with you, I probably will be too, by the end of this.”
The tone of Paltrow’s comments about her daughter’s feelings signifies that Apple’s “love” for Elordi is just for his on-screen work. It shouldn’t be assumed that she wants to get romantically involved with the Euphoria actor.
In response to Paltrow’s flattery, Elordi cheekily says how everyone goes on about, “Oh, my mom loves you. My daughter loves you. My girlfriend loves you.” and no one ever tells him, “I love you.” Paltrow quickly reassures him by saying, “I love you, Jacob,” as per Daily Mail.
Besides that, the actress talks about Apple’s reaction to her kissing scene with Timothee Chalamet for the upcoming movie Marty Supreme. She labeled her a “cool” girl with a “punk rock” attitude to appreciate her open-mindedness. “I mean, my daughter’s so cool and so punk rock that she’s like, ‘Mom, this is awesome,'” said the 53-year-old.
