In a candid, playful moment in an interview, veteran actor Gwyneth Paltrow surprised rising star Jacob Elordi with a confession. After praising her kids’ crush on him, she admitted she might fall for him, too.
Gwyneth Paltrow tells Jacob Elordi she will fall for him on Actors on Actors
Gwyneth Paltrow kicked off the conversation on the latest installment of Variety’s Actors on Actors with a playful nod to Elordi’s charm. She said that her kids were “jealous,” saying her son looks up to him and her daughter loves him, before adding with a grin that she might be too by the end of the episode.
“My children are very jealous. My son looks up to you; my daughter is in love with you. I probably will be too, by the end of this,” Paltrow said.
Elordi shared what people often say, “My mom loves you,” or “My girlfriend loves you,” but rarely, “I love you.” Paltrow leaned in and said, “I love you, Jacob.”
Paltrow also admitted she first saw Elordi on Euphoria, even though her kids had warned her to steer clear of the show’s mature scenes and themes. Still, she raved about his acting, calling it “incredible.” “My first entrée to you and your incredible talent was Euphoria. My kids cautioned me against watching it, but you are so good in that show,” Paltrow said.
Elordi, 28, shot to fame with Netflix’s rom‑com hit The Kissing Booth, but since then, he has taken on many series roles. He played Elvis Presley in Priscilla (2023) and also The Creature in the new Frankenstein adaptation. His growing range impressed Paltrow, who’s also making a big-screen comeback this year with Marty Supreme, coming to theaters on December 25.
Paltrow and Elordi also talked about how movies have evolved over the years.
