From Noah Flynn to Nate Jacobs, Heathcliff and, depending on who you ask, even Frankenstein’s Monster, Jacob Elordi is familiar with playing heartthrobs on screen. But, it seems Jacob’s IRL love life isn’t quite what he’d like it to be.
Jacob Elordi needs someone to tell him, “I love you”
Speaking to Gwyneth Paltrow on Variety’s Actors on Actors, Jacob revealed that he doesn’t hear “I love you” enough.
“It’s so nice to be here talking to you,” Gwyneth told him at the start of their interview. “My children are very jealous. My son looks up to you; my daughter is in love with you,” she went on. “I probably will be too, by the end of this.”
“Well, that’s the thing you always get,” he replied. “Every person says, ‘Oh, my mom loves you. My daughter loves you. My girlfriend loves you.’ It’s never ‘I love you’.”
To that, Gwyneth responded: “I love you, Jacob.”
There was plenty of love for Jacob in the comments section on YouTube, too. “I love Jacob so much, he seems so kind and calm, and he probably is,” one person said. “Jacob, I love you,” another echoed.
“This was beautiful,” someone else commented, as a fourth viewer wrote: “Jacob has such a kindness in his eyes, so genuine and charismatic.”
Jacob’s love life confession comes just months after his on-again-off-again romance with Olivia Jade Giannulli ended. The pair dated for nearly four years, but in October 2025, a source told PEOPLE: “It’s fully over. They are not getting back together.”
Previously, Jacob dated Joey King, whom he met on the set of The Kissing Booth, as well as his Euphoria co-star, Zendaya. The actor was also romantically linked to model Kaia Gerber.
