In the latest episode of Married to Medicine, Toya Bush-Harris made it extremely clear that she wouldn’t be voting for Dr. Heavenly Kimes. However, it doesn’t seem like she needs her vote. According to Dr. Heavenly, polling shows that she has a “path to victory” in her congressional race. She’s ready to go to Washington, DC.
Dr. Heavenly Kimes is “humbled by the strong support”

In M2M Season 12 Episode 2, Dr. Heavenly opened up about her decision to run for Georgia State Representative. She has since revised her campaign and is running for Georgia’s 13th District in the United States House of Representatives.
Some folks were initially skeptical of the idea of Dr. Heavenly running for Congress, especially because it’s an already crowded race. However, an internal poll conducted over the summer showed her tied for second place behind the incumbent candidate.
The poll surveyed 750 likely Democratic primary voters before Heavenly had even announced her run for the seat. It also revealed that a significant chunk of voters wanted a candidate with business experience, rather than someone with a political background. She fits the bill.
“This internal poll clearly shows that we have a path to victory,” Dr. Heavenly said in a press release.
“I’m humbled by the strong support from the community I love and seek to serve,” she continued. “I understand their struggles because I’ve lived them. People want to be heard, and they are ready for change. My candidacy gives them a real opportunity to make that change happen.”
According to Dr. Heavenly’s campaign website, her platform is focused on expanding access to healthcare, reforming the criminal justice system, and investing in small businesses, schools, and modern transit opportunities. Stay tuned to see if she can translate her vision into votes.
Married to Medicine airs on Bravo every Sunday at 9/8c. It streams the next day on Peacock.
