Millie Bobby Brown shared a sweet moment with Jimmy Fallon this week. As well as calling him a “paternal figure,” the Stranger Things star gave the presenter a one-of-a-kind gift from the Netflix series.
Jimmy Fallon now owns a piece of Stranger Things history
To mark her eleventh appearance on The Tonight Show – which is fitting, given her character’s name – Millie gave Jimmy a Stranger Things prop.
“So, I brought you Eleven’s bracelet from the show, which Hopper gives to her in Season 2,” she said. “Because you’ve been such a paternal figure and always looked out for me, I wanted to give you this.”
Jimmy was visibly moved by the gift, which clearly symbolizes the father-daughter bond between Hopper and Eleven. “Oh my god,” he replied. “Are you serious?”
Jimmy then leaned in for a hug with Millie and told her he loves her, before describing the gift as “the most thoughtful thing ever.”
As the heartfelt moment continued, Millie revealed that she wore the bracelet for “basically eight years straight.”
“And it’s the only one,” the 21-year-old added.
To make the whole thing even more symbolic, Millie suggested that Jimmy offers the bracelet to his own daughters. Noting how they are also Stranger Things fans, she said wearing the bracelet would allow them to “be a superhero” as well.
Like Jimmy, fans were taken aback by Millie’s beautiful gesture. “This is actually very sweet,” one person said on Reddit of the moment. “That’s cute,” someone else said. “He’s even shaking a little when he shows the bracelet to the camera; you can tell this really touched him.”
A third fan agreed: “I like him tapping the table to suppress the tears, haha. So sweet!”
