There’s concern about Aubrey O’Day’s physical health following a social media post. Online, the singer apologized to fans because she had fallen ill. Her reunion tour with Danity Kane has only just begun, but that may have to be put on hold for now.
Aubrey was in the emergency room at a hospital with an unknown sickness on Wednesday. “I am so sorry. I’ve become extremely sick and physically can’t make tonight’s show as I’m in the ER,” she wrote on Instagram. She and the band were due to perform at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles that day. The concert went on as planned despite Aubrey’s absence.

It’s not the news fans want to hear, as one of Danity Kane’s big attractions may be on the shelf. On her Instagram story on Wednesday, Aubrey expressed her disappointment for missing Wednesday’s concert. She said she’d been fighting an illness all day Wednesday but ultimately it was beyond her control. “My heart is broken because I never want to let you down, she wrote on her Instagram story,
The former five-piece group recently reunited for its first show in several years. They performed on Tuesday at August Hall in San Francisco. Among the songs they performed for fans were hits like Damaged, Show Stopper, and Heartbreaker. News of their reunion was officially announced in October.
Originally, the band had five members before Dawn Richards left in 2019. Aubrey made headlines in early December when the documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning came out on Netflix. In the film, an unnamed woman says she’s certain she saw Aubrey sexually assaulted by Diddy one time, with another person reportedly involved. That’s something Aubrey claims to have no recollection of. Danity Kane was originally formed and signed by Diddy during MTV’s Making the Band 3.
There was a big mystery surrounding who we’d see on stage at Danity Kane’s first concert back on December 9. When the show began, the final lineup included Aundrea Fimbers, Aubrey, Dawn, D. Woods and Shannon Bex. No word on how long Aubrey may be out or if they’ll cancel any shows due to her illness.
