Taylor Swift opts for bold velvet mini dress for Stephen Colbert
Taylor Swift is in her showgirl era in a resplendent burgundy mini-dress for the promotion of her new docu-series. The “Opalite” singer donned a gorgeous maroon velvet mini-dress by David Koma worth $1,695 (via PEOPLE).
Swift opted for a retro-style hairdo with a neat bun and her trademark flicks framing her face. Her makeup, too, was reminiscent of the vintage era, with defined lashes, winged eyeliner, and bold burgundy lipstick.
Unsurprisingly, fans were in love with Swift’s glamorous ensemble. One fan commented, “Oh she’s serving c***mas,” accompanied by a Santa Claus emoji. A second fan wrote, “She’s literally the definition of a showgirl”. A third Swiftie penned, “DEFINITION OF PERFECTION!!!” Finally, a fan Swiftie chimed in, “She’s like a giant bow for Christmas and the opal bracelet obsessed. She’s gorgeous!”
This marks her first official venture after releasing her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3. The “Daylight” singer is busy playing cheerleader to fiancé Travis Kelce at his NFL games. Most recently, she attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ contest against the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, December 7, alongside Lena Dunham and Selena Gomez.
Swift gushed over her fiancé, Kelce, on Stephen Colbert’s show. She confessed, “Those two things that you just mentioned: getting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back, those are two things that never could’ve happened. I’m so grateful.”
The first two episodes of her new docu-series, “The End of an Era,” will drop alongside her new concert film, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show,” on Friday, December 12.
