Kate Hudson’s Gown & Cape Color Combo Is Not the Smartest

Kate Hudson brought Y2K vibes to her recent red carpet appearance in a green and pink outfit. She appeared in a green gown and cape combination at the New York premiere of her upcoming movie, “Song Sung Blue,” on Thursday, December 11. The actress has delivered some of the strongest looks in the past few months while making appearances to support her upcoming movie.

Kate Hudson wore a green Valentino gown with a deep plunging neckline to the New York premiere of “Song Sung Blue,” hosted at AMC Lincoln Square Theater. The sleeveless floor-length gown was accented with a large satin waist cinching bow. She paired the dress with a pink cape with a black collar.

Styled by Sophie Lopez, Hudson completed the outfit with Casadei shoes, a Roger Vivier clutch, Mindi Mond earrings, and an Anne Baker ring. Her hair was sleeked back into a bun, while her nails were painted in the same shade as her cape. Further, her makeup included terracotta blush on her cheeks and a muted mauve lip shade.

The “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” star’s fiancé, Danny Fujikawa, joined her at the red carpet event. He sported a dashing black tuxedo layered over a white button-up shirt. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, and stepfather, Kurt Russell, were also there to support her. Besides Hudson, co-stars Hugh Jackson, Ella Anderson, Hudson Hensley, Michael Imperioli, Mustafa Shakir, and Jim Belushi attended the premiere.

On December 11, Hudson shared a few snaps of her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Instagram. For the interview, she sported a pink top and golden orange skirt ensemble from Fendi’s Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear Collection. Further, she wore peep-toe pumps with gemstone-adorned buckles. Meanwhile, her hair was styled in soft waves with a middle part.
