Some of those who couldn’t resist getting a preview of the new Avengers film weren’t happy with what they saw. The premise is that we will see the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers and the original X-Men teaming up to battle Doctor Doom. The upcoming film reportedly occurs 14 months after the events of Thunderbolts. That Marvel movie came out in American cinemas in May, collecting over $300 million at the box office.
One disappointed online fan had this to say about the teaser on X: “Whoever’s marketing avengers doomsday knows how to ragebait marvel fans by making them wait so long for useless footage.”
The trailer reportedly focuses on Steve Rogers, portrayed by Chris Evans. While many have not seen the first trailer, many others have expressed their views on it after apparently getting a glimpse of the leaked footage.
Channing Tatum is among those returning to reprise his role as Gambit. He shared in October the negotiation he had about his accent for that character. The story is based on The Avengers comics written by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. It will come out in theatres on December 18, 2026.
