Usha Vance is addressing rumors that her marriage to the Vice President is falling apart. The Second Lady has been photographed on numerous occasions without her wedding ring. That has led many to believe the two may be on the verge of breaking up.
Usha and JD Vance met at Yale University and have been married since 2014. The couple have three children together. She and her family have been in the spotlight since Donald Trump became President last year. That is reportedly among the things putting a strain on Usha and JD’s relationship. The Second Lady also apparently misses the life she left behind.

While Usha has likely had a stressful year, she and JD are fine, according to her. The Yale Law School graduate talked to USA Today about her often-missing ring: “I wear it when I wear it, and I don’t when I don’t.” She added that sometimes she’d just been to the gym and showered when seen not wearing the wedding ring.
There has been speculation that she not only misses the career she went to school for but also is struggling with all the attention on her. She was a litigator for one of Ohio’s top law firms before her husband was named to the 2024 Trump ticket.
A spokesperson previously stated that Usha does a lot of dishes, which is part of the reason she’s been seen often without her ring. Usha says that she finds it comical that her not wearing a ring is such a hot topic. As for her life and career, she says that she’s happy with it all at the moment.
There have been many suggestions that her husband will seek the top job when Donald’s second term in office ends in 2028. Usha is the first Indian American to serve as Second Lady.
