Taylor Swift’s wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce may be one of the most anticipated celebrity events. However, according to a new report, even her closest friends aren’t in the know. Despite years of friendship, Selena Gomez is reportedly just as in the dark as everyone else when it comes to the singer’s wedding plans.
Taylor Swift is keeping wedding prep details very controlled, claims source
According to claims shared by an insider, Taylor Swift is taking an unusually strict approach to privacy as she prepares for her big day. The source, who spoke with Rob Shuter, alleges that the singer intends to keep all wedding details under wraps until shortly before the ceremony. That reportedly includes Gomez, who has been one of Swift’s most visible and vocal supporters for over a decade.
The insider claims Swift wants the event to feel “intimate” and “controlled,” with no room for leaks or unexpected attention. Allegedly, only Swift, her fiancé Travis Kelce, and her parents are fully aware of the location and final plans. Others in her inner circle are said to be receiving vague hints rather than confirmed details. For Swift, the plan is for all guests to learn the details at the same time.
Another source suggested that venues connected to the celebration are operating under strict nondisclosure agreements. Any breach of privacy, the insider claimed, could result in last-minute changes. The wedding is allegedly being treated like a “top-secret project.”
That secrecy, however, doesn’t mean Gomez isn’t involved at all. Separate reports have claimed that Gomez has been heavily involved in planning Swift’s bachelorette festivities. According to one insider speaking to The U.S. Sun, Swift’s bridal party — which is rumored to include Gomez, Gigi Hadid, and close family members — has been discussing multiple celebratory trips to destinations such as New York, Nashville, Italy, and the Bahamas.
The same source alleged that Gomez, who married Benny Blanco earlier this year, has been offering advice from her recent experience. The group is said to be coordinating through calls and messages, with potential in-person planning sessions expected in major cities over the coming months.
