Amy Schumer and her estranged husband, Chris Fischer, will reportedly continue to live together despite their split. A few days ago, the 44-year-old comedian announced their separation on Instagram.
According to a recent report, a source claimed that the ex-couple would stay under one roof for the sake of their son, Gene. For those unversed, the comedian and the chef got married in February 2018 and welcomed their first child in May of the same year.
Amy Schumer wants Chris Fischer to be involved with their child, claims source
Amy Schumer would reportedly want her estranged husband, Chris Fischer, to be involved in their son’s life as much as possible. A source told Page Six that she has been insisting on a better co-parenting system, where the exes live together. “She expects that they’ll co-parent full-time together and that he’ll see Gene almost as much as he does now — if not more,” they said.
Reportedly, Schumer wants both parents to be “super involved” in their child’s life. According to the insider, the family of three has allegedly moved to Manhattan. Despite the split, she doesn’t want her former spouse to move out as “co-parenting peacefully” tops everything.
Furthermore, they claimed that Schumer wants Fischer to “stick around” for their son. She would reportedly like him to take care of Gene when she travels for her comedy tours. “She just never wants to be romantically involved with him again,” the source added.
Last week, on Friday, the “I Feel Pretty” star posted a photo with a lengthy caption announcing the split. The picture featured Schumer and Fischer sitting in a subway. Meanwhile, the caption mentioned, “Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years. We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son.”
She shut down speculations related to the reason for their separation. In the end, Schumer requested privacy and wrote, “Family forever.”
