Donald Trump’s Current Chief of Staff Makes Wild Claim About President

Donald Trump isn’t exactly known for his thick skin when it comes to criticism. So, he may not be thrilled about recent comments by close ally Susie Wiles. In a new interview, the President’s chief of staff says he has the personality of an alcoholic. She’s since described the interview as a “hit piece.”

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Susie, a senior advisor to Trump, made a rather awkward comparison. After talking about her own dad’s struggles with alcoholism, she described the President in a rather unflattering way.

She said: “Some clinical psychologist that knows one million times more than I do will dispute what I’m going to say. But high-functioning alcoholics or alcoholics in general, their personalities are exaggerated when they drink. And so I’m a little bit of an expert in big personalities.” She went on to say that Trump has “an alcoholic’s personality.” And that he “operates [with] a view that there’s nothing he can’t do. Nothing, zero, nothing.”

To be fair to the White House staffer, her comments seem to be an awkward way of saying Trump, who reportedly doesn’t drink, is impulsive and extremely self-confident. Still, it’s probably not the best way to win favor with a president who takes to social media over a bad photo choice.

Elsewhere in the article, the Chief of Staff revealed that the President often bases his opinion on people based on their family ties. She told the publication: “He’s said it a million times, ‘I judge people by their genes.’”

Susie clearly isn’t happy with the interview. After its release she took to X on Tuesday morning to describe it as “a disingenuously framed hit piece on me.” She added that “significant context was disregarded.”
