Jane Fonda is still reeling from shock following the death of Michele and Rob Reiner. News of their murders must have felt surreal to the Academy Award-winning actress. She said on social media she had seen the couple the night before they died.
On Saturday, Michele and Rob were attending a Christmas party organized by Conan O’Brien. That’s when Rob and his son Nick reportedly had an intense argument, with Nick allegedly acting erratically. Jane says Rob and Michele looked happy and healthy on Saturday.

Processing Rob and Michele’s stabbing deaths has been incredibly difficult for many who knew them. On Instagram, Jane posted an old photo of her with Rob, while reflecting on the couple she knew.
In her caption, Jane called them “smart, funny, generous people, always coming up with ideas for how to make the world better, kinder.” She adds that the late couple were helping her relaunch the Committee for the First Amendment. The group champions freedom of expression from government censorship.
Jane is among the many grieving this tragedy, praising Rob and Michele for their contributions to society. Among the others exclaiming their love for them was former First Lady Michelle Obama. She says that she and former President Barack Obama were supposed to meet them on Sunday. Sadly, Rob and Michele were found dead that afternoon.
Nick is said to be the primary suspect, having been arrested on Monday in connection with the incident. The son of Rob and Michele had spoken openly in the past about his drug addiction issues. It’s believed that things between him and his parents were so bad that Rob and Michele were struggling to know how to deal with their son.
