Madonna coincidentally met one of her exes. She caught up with her former husband, Guy Ritchie, to fulfill a particular goal. The estranged couple met after almost two decades to play their roles as parents.
Madonna and Guy Ritchie reunited for their son, Rocco’s, art exhibition
Madonna and Ritchie’s son, Rocco, was the primary factor behind the celebrity couple’s reunion, which occurred almost two decades after their divorce. It was Rocco’s “Talk is Cheap” art piece that brought the couple together once more during an exhibition in London. The trio of Madonna, Ritchie, and Rocco also clicked a wholesome snap before the latter’s magnificent piece of art.
Later, Rocco shared the snap on Instagram with a thoughtful caption. He understood that being the son of Madonna and Ritchie exposed him to the criticism of many. However, he cherished the fact that his efforts sufficed to bring his parents together, even though it was just for an evening.
“It’s obvious why some people might hold judgment against me. I don’t blame them,” said the 25-year-old. “However, I am proud to be who I am, but I’m even prouder to have both of my parents together in one room supporting me. The work should speak for itself, that’s why the show was called ‘Talk Is Cheap.'”
The ‘La Isla Bonita’ singer and the director of The Gentlemen called an end to their marriage in 2008, after the adoption of a third child reportedly caused a rift in their relationship. By October 2008, the couple had officially parted ways.
Madonna and Ritchie welcomed Rocco in 2000. In 2006, the couple initiated the legal process to adopt their second son, David Banda, which was completed in 2008. However, Madonna’s desire to adopt another child shortly afterwards led to the couple’s divorce in the same year.
