After a stellar first season, a beloved cooking show is returning to Netflix today. Culinary Class Wars Season 2 has arrived on the streaming platform, following the positive reviews and reception towards its 2024 debut season. The reality show will be looking for more success after making history as the first Korean unscripted series to lead Netflix’s Global Top 10 (Non-English) TV list for three consecutive weeks. With two contestants “back for a second chance,” and some new rules thrown into the mix, this season looks to be a recipe for success.
Culinary Class Wars Season 2 is available to stream on Netflix
Netflix hosts an exciting array of highly-talented chefs for Culinary Class Wars Season 2. The lineup this year features incredible talent, including Chun Sang-hyun, Choi Yu-gang, Jennie Walldèn, Shim Sung-chul, Lee Keum-hee, Kim Sung-woon, Kim Geon, and Kim Hee-eun.
As per the official trailer, these so-called ‘White Spoon’ chefs will face off against the ‘Black Spoon’ cooks. Known only by their nicknames, such as ‘Culinary Monster’ and ‘Barbecue Lab Director’ until they can prove their worth, will they cause an upset and topple the hierarchy?
Culinary Class Wars also made waves in its home country of South Korea. It was ranked No.1 as “the most beloved series among Korean viewers” in the highly-regarded Gallup Korea’s September 2024 survey.
Sadly, if you were hoping to binge the entire second season right away, you’ve got another fortnight to wait before you can do so. Netflix have decided that this season is going to be a staggered release; but all episodes will be available to stream before the end of the year.
Culinary Class Wars Seasons 1 & 2 are available to stream now on Netflix. Season 2, Episodes 4-7 will be available to stream from December 23, with Episodes 8-10 arriving on December 30.
