Nick Reiner is calling on a renowned criminal defense attorney to get him out of a jam. The son of Rob and Michele Reiner is the prime suspect in his parents’ murder and could be facing a lifetime behind bars.
His mom and dad were found stabbed to death on Sunday afternoon in their homes. The day before, Nick and his father reportedly had a heated argument at a Christmas Party hosted by Conan O’Brien. Nick was arrested and is being held without bail.

On the surface, the situation looks very bad for Nick. He appears to be the only suspect in his parents’ stabbing death, plus his supposed argument hours before the tragedy, and his lengthy history with addiction won’t likely help his cause.
That’s why he’s hoping Alan Jackson’s expertise will come in handy. The criminal defense lawyer has worked on some high-profile cases before and been successful. He notably got Karen Read acquitted of murder in Massachusetts. She had been accused of hitting her boyfriend, John O’Keefe, in 2022 with her SUV and leaving him to die. The defense team blamed John’s fellow law enforcement officers for the death, while suggesting they were tampering with evidence to frame her. She was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence.
Alan was spotted at a Los Angeles courthouse on Tuesday by TMZ for legal proceedings related to Nick’s case. His client was supposed to be arraigned that day, but Alan told reporters he hadn’t been medically cleared for transport to the courthouse.
At around 4 am Sunday, Nick allegedly checked into a Santa Monica hotel but reportedly left a trail of blood behind. His parents’ bodies were discovered that afternoon. Prior to his death, Rob reportedly talked about how much he loved all of his children. Rob and Michele had three kids together, two sons, Nick and Jake, and a daughter, Romy.
