Timothée Chalamet Jokes He Feared Getting Killed While Being With Kendrick Lamar

Timothée Chalamet has shared what was going through his head during his ride with Kendrick Lamar. The two stars had previously teamed up for a promotional video ahead of Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

Timothée Chalamet jokes about Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef

Timothée Chalamet joined the Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar for a ride ahead of the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. At the beginning of the three-minute, black-and-white video posted by the NFL, Chalamet told Lamar, “My life is in your hands.”

In a recent appearance on 7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony, the actor explained what he meant by that remark. Chalamet shared that he was briefly worried about possibly getting killed during the ride with Lamar. The “Not Like Us” hitmaker was in the middle of his highly publicized feud with Drake at the time.

“I was like, ‘Wow, he’s in the middle of this beef. Could you imagine if this is how I go out?'” recalled the actor. “‘Actor Timothée Chalamet murdered.’ That would be a crazy end of the Wikipedia,” Chalamet joked.

The “Call Me By Your Name” star went on to gush about Lamar, praising the rapper’s calm disposition. “My big takeaway from Kendrick was, during all the huge beef last year, I was just so amazed,” Chalamet remembered.

The actor added, “I was so impressed that this man was so calm sitting next to me, and I was like, ‘Wow, he’s engaged in a gladiator sport right now.’ And as much as I love hip-hop, as I was sitting next to him, I was like, ‘Wow. I could not do that.'”

Meanwhile, fans are excited about Chalamet’s upcoming movie, “Marty Supreme”. Directed by Josh Safdie, it is a sports comedy film loosely based on the American table tennis player Marty Reisman. Additionally, Chalamet will also return as Paul Atreides in the highly anticipated “Dune: Part Three”, slated for a 2026 release.
