Owen Wilson may have indirectly saved Michelle Branch from the trauma of a Diddy “freak off.” The singer revealed she and a pal once attended a party at the disgraced musician’s house, unaware of what often took place. She ultimately left the event early though – and ended the night with Owen instead.

Quentin Tarantino may think Owen is nothing special, but Michelle Branch may have reason to thank him. The Everywhere singer took to social media to reveal that she ended the night hanging out with the actor instead of seeing things she could never unsee at Diddy’s.
In her Instagram stories, Michelle shared a screenshot of texts between her and a pal, per People. Her friend said she was watching the recently released Diddy documentary (you know, the one produced by 50 Cent). She added a photo of her and Michelle taken at a VMA after party hosted by Diddy in 2004.
The pal wrote alongside the image: “Not me watching the Diddy docuseries and realizing that one of the freak-offs absolutely happened this night.”
Michele then replies: “Oh. My. God. I’ve often wondered tbh.”
Her friend then adds: “I don’t remember why we left but so glad our night was smoking weed and eating tacos with Owen Wilson instead.”
Diddy’s now infamous “freak offs” have been described as multi-day sex parties with heavy drug use, nonstop alcohol, male prostitutes, and a whole lot of lube. During his trial, Cassie Ventura also alleged that she had engaged in sexual acts with male escorts while being so out of it that she probably couldn’t even legally consent to what was going on.
