In a recent TikTok video, the teen lip synced to “Lucky,” the 2000 hit by her aunt Britney Spears. Many have questioned the choice, given the ongoing feud between the Spears sisters.

After posting the clip on TikTok, Maddie, who has 25,000 followers on the platform, turned off comments on the post. Many fans were curious about the song choice, and whether it was a tribute or a dig to the teen’s famous aunt.
Maddie’s mom, Jamie Lynn, has been locked in a feud with Britney since around 2019. The pair have reportedly been estranged since then. Sources recently alleged that Britney has no interest in speaking to her family.
Things got worse in 2022 following the release of Jamie Lynn’s memoir, which Britney saw as an attempt to profit off of her struggles. The singer wrote in her own book a year later: “As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalizing on it. She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous.”
The book-related drama didn’t end there. Earlier this year, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline dropped his own bombshell memoir. And in it, he published texts he claimed were from Jamie Lynn. One read: “I’m sure my sister has never thanked y’all for raising her children and still being beyond gracious to allow her so many chances to take part in their lives, even when y’all had more than enough reasons to validate cutting that off.”
