Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte twinned in matching bows for the Christmas lunch that King Charles hosted at Buckingham Palace on December 16. The king has continued his mother, Queen Elizabeth’s, tradition of hosting a royal family luncheon before Christmas. The Prince and Princess of Wales, and their 10-year-old daughter, Charlotte, were photographed on their way to the royal family lunch.

Princess Charlotte seems to have developed a fashion taste as exquisite as her mother, Kate Middleton’s. For the pre-Christmas lunch in Buckingham Palace, the mother-daughter duo dressed in festive shades of red. Kate wore a red Alessandra Rich dress, featuring petal print, polka dots, padded shoulders and a keyhole cutout. She had previously worn the dress in 2019 for the BBC’s “A Royal Berry Christmas”.
Meanwhile, Charlotte donned a burgundy velvet dress with a collar. The mother and daughter wore their hair in matching half-updos. While Kate accessorised her hair with a black Miu Miu bow, her young daughter matched it with her own burgundy bow. The Princess of Wales also accessorised with Van Cleef & Arpels earrings.
Kate and Charlotte were not the only Wales family members who were twinning; Prince William and Prince George also sported matching dark jackets. The Wales family also had a twinning moment earlier this month when they stepped out for Kate’s annual “Together at Christmas” carol service at Westminster Abbey on December 5.
The Prince and Princess of Wales arrived at the Christmas event with their three children in coordinating blue and green outfits. Prince William wore a navy blue suit, with his sons, George and Louis, wearing similar navy suits and Charlotte sporting a matching blue dress.
While Princess Kate wore a green wool coat dress from Catherine Walker, Prince George wore a tie that matched the colour of his mother’s coat. For the event, Kate accessorised with Robinson Pelham diamond earrings. Pelham notably also designed the earrings Kate wore on her wedding day.
