Nick Carter Faces Seven-Figure Payout Demand From SA Accuser: Details

An alleged sexual assault victim is proposing a solution to her case against Nick Carter. Laura Penly claims she met the Backstreet Boys singer in 2004, when she was 19. She alleges they had an intimate relationship between December 2004 and February of the following year.

Laura claims that they had sex three times in that time frame, adding that she feared he had a sexually transmitted disease. That’s because he reportedly refused her request to wear a condom. Her suit alleges that Nick once bent her over, held her down, and forcefully penetrated her. Last Friday, the alleged victim was prepared to make a seven-figure offer for Nick to make the lawsuit go away.

It looks like Laura has put her cards on the table, but Nick and his team of attorneys don’t appear interested. On Friday, Laura reportedly filed court documents saying she’d be willing to drop her suit in exchange for $1 million, according to US Weekly.

Nick’s lawyers, Liane K. Wakayama and Dale Hayes Jr., said, “What has happened here is not only unethical but also a clear violation of the law.” They call this a shakedown. They stated that Nick doesn’t want to pay her a dime.

Penny’s lawyers have said that Nick infected their client with “various sexually transmitted diseases.” In 2005, they say Penny got the news that she tested positive for chlamydia and gonorrhoea. Her lawsuit demands damages for the impacts of his alleged sexual assault. Nick’s lawyers and the Backstreet Boys singer have denied the allegations.

In 2022, Nick lost his brother, Aaron. Earlier this month, his late brother’s fiancée, Melanie Martin, claimed that Nick’s mother, Jane, was trying to take her grandson’s Prince’s inheritance. Prince, Aaron, and Melanie’s son is apparently the sole beneficiary of the late pop star’s estate.

Nick is in a legal battle with several accusers over assault claims dating back to the early 2000s.
