Charlie Kirk’s Widow Erika Makes 2028 Election Pledge

Erika Kirk is giving her full support to the Republicans, both now and in the future. The widow of political activist Charlie Kirk spoke at the opening of the conservative conference in Phoenix on Thursday. Her husband, Charlie, was assassinated during a speaking engagement in Utah in September for Turning Point USA (TPUSA).

Erika spoke to the crowd about ensuring President Donald Trump and the Republicans control Congress for the next four years. That wasn’t the only thing she pledged to supporters on Thursday.

Donald Trump’s time as President will end in just over two years’ time. When he’s out of office, it’s expected that his Vice President, JD Vance, will seek the top job. If he does, he will have Erika’s endorsement. “We are going to get my husband’s friend JD Vance elected for 48 in the most resounding way possible,” she told the crowd.

Perhaps her passion and emotions caused her to get the number wrong, though it’s widely understood that she meant 28 as in 2028. The new CEO of TPUSA also promised to push hard for strong Republican midterm election results in 2026.

It’s no surprise to hear her endorse the Republicans, given that Charlie’s group promoted numerous causes for the party in power. There was previous speculation about just how close the widow and the Vice President actually are.

The two shared a hug on stage in October that, for some, was a little too intimate. She has said that touching the back of someone’s head is just a regular habit for her. There are also reports that JD’s marriage to Usha is in limbo, with the Second Lady often photographed in public without her ring. She denies any trouble.

Erika also announced that TPUSA would be returning to college campuses next year.
