Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his skills on the pitch … and now he’ll be known for almost breaking the internet with a nearly-nude photo. Taking to Instagram earlier today, the footballer – who has played for teams including Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus – showed off his impressive body.

“After sauna,” Cristiano captioned the photo, in which he’s wearing underwear and not much else. Like, literally, nothing else. Unless you count those slip-on shoes, which we’re pretty sure are Crocs.
Unsurprisingly, the photo racked up plenty of likes … over 11 million and counting, to be exact. And, of course, flurries of comments from fans. “Not human!!! This guy defies what is possible,” one fan commented with a string of fire emojis.
“SHREDDED!! MY BROTHER, GREATEST OF ALL TIME,” another – clearly very excited – fan replied.
“Cristiano is the living reminder that nothing beats discipline, consistency, and love for what you do,” wrote someone else. “Looking at this photo reminds me that greatness doesn’t happen by accident. Either you respect the process, or you’re left admiring from a distance those who did.”
Previously speaking to Men’s Health about his fitness routine, Cristiano – who is now 40 – said: “I can still compete with the best players and can still maintain the shape I was in when I was 20.”
While Cristiano evidently puts in a lot of effort in the gym and on the pitch, we like to think his physique is also built in the bedroom. And, by that, we mean his passion for napping. According to Men’s Health, Cristiano incorporates up to five small rests of 90 minutes into his daily health and wellness routine.
