The Department of Justice will not release all of the Jeffrey Epstein files by today’s deadline, it has been confirmed. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the news on Friday morning. He explained that while several hundred thousand documents on the convicted sex offender had been released already, it may be weeks before we see the rest.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche broke the news

In an interview with Fox News, Todd Blanche confirmed the DOJ would miss its deadline to release the Epstein files. “I expect that we’re going to release more documents over the next couple of weeks,” he said. “So, today, several hundred thousand, and then over the next couple of weeks, I expect several hundred thousand more.”
“There’s a lot of eyes looking at these,” the Deputy Attorney General went on. “We want to make sure that when we do produce the materials, that we are protecting every single victim.”
The deadline for the files to be released by today’s deadline was mandated by a bill that recieved almost unanimous support in Congress. It was later signed into law by US President Donald Trump, a U-turn move on his earlier opposition to the release. Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the DOJ was given until today (19th December) to release the files.
“President Trump signed that law 30 days ago,” Blanche said to Fox News of the deadline. “And we have been working tirelessly since that day to make sure that we get every single document that we have within the Department of Justice, review it, and get it to the American public.”
