Prince Harry has remained part of the conversation as questions continue to swirl about his relationship with the royal family and what’s really happening behind the scenes.
Talk of possible reconciliation, ongoing security issues tied to the UK, and his recent solo appearances apart from Meghan Markle have all fed curiosity as the year comes to a close.
Against that backdrop, Harry turned up in Aspen just days before Christmas, where a winter sports stop quickly took an unexpected turn.
Prince Harry injured his hand in Aspen playing snow polo

A source told Page Six that Prince Harry hurt his hand while playing in Thursday’s St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship in Aspen, Colorado.
A witness said the moment unfolded quickly on the field. According to the source, Harry’s hand got “clipped” when one of professional polo player Nacho Figueras’ sons, Artemo or Hilario, swung his mallet during the match.
“They paused for a second and he shook it off,” the source said.
Despite the hit, Harry stayed in the game. The announcer referred to him as Harry Wales throughout the match. His team ultimately lost, but the injury did not force him off the field.
Harry had also played in a match the day before, which surprised several people watching from the sidelines. One source said there had been no indication he would be participating.
“No one knew he was coming,” the source said.
The unannounced appearance added to curiosity around Harry’s movements, especially as attention remains on his next steps and public outings outside the royal fold.
Harry later played alongside Figueras during the match. Ahead of the game, Harry and the group were spotted skiing together, giving the Aspen stop a relaxed feel rather than a formal royal-style appearance.
Meghan did not travel with Harry to Aspen.
After the first game ended, Nacho and his wife Delfina attended the annual Snow Polo Disco hosted by Zach Weiss. The event took place at the Caviar Kaspia pop-up inside the Snow Lodge.
Harry skipped the party. Still, the guest list drew attention. Oscar winner Mikey Madison, Coleman Domingo, Phoebe Dynevor, and Sailor Brinkley Cook were among those spotted.
Harry stayed in the game after the incident and finished the match despite the injury. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem likely he’ll spend this Christmas icing his hand.
