Kate Middleton’s Caring Donation to Hospital Where She Received Cancer Treatment

The Princess of Wales hasn’t forgotten about those who took care of her last year. Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 and spent a good portion of that year at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. The facility is a world leader in cancer treatments with groundbreaking research.

In January, Kate and her husband, Prince William, decided to serve as patrons for the hospital. Around that same time, Kate’s cancer went into remission. She recently brought a special item to the hospital.

The Princess is spreading a little holiday cheer at a place she surely holds near and dear to her heart. On Instagram, the Royal Marsden announced that the royal mother of three had donated a Christmas tree. The tree was at the Together at Christmas Carol service.

The fifth annual edition of that service occurred at Westminster Abbey earlier this month. It also saw the first joint appearance of her three children in six months. Numerous elegant trees and shimmering lights were on display for the occasion. Kate’s three youngsters were writing their names on pieces of colored parchment before adding them to a long chain that would line a Christmas tree outside Westminster Abbey.

Not long after that, Emily Taylor was invited, alongside her husband James, to represent the kids’ hospice Ty Hafan in the South of Wales. Emily described the moment as surreal and monumental for her.

In September, it was reported that Kate and William would take a breather from royal duties to attend a family party. Not long after entering remission, the Princess resumed her royal duties, making numerous appearances across the UK.

The tree that she donated stands near the entrance of the Oak Cancer Centre in Sutton, England.
