Nicki Minaj has seemingly gone full MAGA of late, with a recent appearance Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest. She told host Erika Kirk and the crowd that they’re the “cool kids.” However, what she may not realize is that the organization’s co-founder, Charlie Kirk, apparently felt rather differently about her.
Charlie Kirk thought Nicki Minaj was a bad role model to youngsters
At the conservative event in Phoenix, the rapper said: “We’re the cool kids. The other people, they’re the ones who are still just disgruntled, but really they’re just disgruntled with themselves.”
But she may not be aware that Charlie Kirk was branded her “not a good role model” for teen girls. Speaking at a Turning Point USA event, the late conservative activist said: “Right now, black culture is being held captive by influences, songs, and role models.”
When someone asks him to clarify which influences, he says: “I mean Nicki Minaj … Cardi B …”
He then adds of Nicki: “I don’t think that’s a good role model for 18-year-old Black girls. I don’t.”
Clearly he wasn’t much of a fan, unlike JD Vance.
Speaking of role models, Nicki made a toe-curling slip during her Turning Point appearance. The singer gushed: “Dear young men, you have amazing role models like our handsome, dashing president and you have amazing role models like the assassin JD Vance our vice president.”
Charlie Kirk, Erika’s husband, was gunned down by an assassin at a speaking event in September. Nicki was immediately visibly embarrassed about her choice of words, with Erika responding: “I love you. You have to laugh about it, truly. I have been called every single thing, and you know what? God is so good you let it roll right off your back.”
She added: “And this is what’s so beautiful about this moment, because if the internet wants to clip it, who cares?” And clip it they did.
