The Royal Family Attends Church Services at Sandringham but Prince Louis Only Has Eyes for This…

It’s tradition for the British Royal family to walk to church together on Christmas morning. Weather allowing, the locals turn out to see the family stroll to the St. Mary Magdalene Church on Sandringham estate.

Many in the crowd offer flowers or small gifts to wish King Charles and his extended family a Happy Christmas. But as Prince Louis approached the church with his parents and siblings, one gift in particular brought joy to the 7-year-old royal.

As he’s been previously known to do, the little prince stole the show with his gleeful reaction to the gift.

After a well-wisher presented Prince William with a giant Lindor chocolate truffle, the excited child couldn’t restrain himself. He impulsively snatched the sweet from his father’s hands, making his dad chuckle. He then walked around proudly hugging his Christmas prize.

During his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, Prince Louis was understandably restless. As any four-year-old might do, he entertained himself by squirming, making goofy faces and generally annoying his mother, Kate Middleton. Even Princess Anne’s son-in-law Mike Tindall tried to help calm the child by indicating he had his eyes on him – to no avail.

At his grandfather Charles’ coronation in May 2023, 5-year-old Louis passed the time by exhibiting huge yawns and again making silly faces. At the time, public opinion was sympathetically on the side of the tiny prince. While on fan tweeted, “Prince Louis’ yawn is all of us after two hours,” another called him the “meme king.”

In Louis’ defense, he’s just an energetic little boy and can’t be expected to sit still for hours at a time. But generally speaking, the youngest Wales is popular with crowds and often provides comic relief during otherwise staid events. After all, royal children are still just children.
