Timothee Chalamet may have given his career’s best performance in Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme, but he also wanted to immortalize something else in the new film, according to his co-star Kevin O’Leary. In a recent interview, O’Leary revealed that Chalamet wanted to show his a** in the movie. The film premieres on December 25, 2025, in theatres.
Timothee Chalamet’s co-star shares shocking details
Marty Supreme has already received great reviews and critical acclaim after its 2025 New York Film Festival premiere. Chalamet’s acting has also been singled out. However, O’Leary shared an odd detail about Timothee Chalamet, where the Dune actor insisted on showing his bare a** in the film despite a double originally slated to take on the part. There is a scene in the film where Milton Rockwell (O’Leary) asks Marty to drop his pants for a spanking with a paddle.
There was a double slated to do the role. But Chalamet insisted that he wanted to do the scene. ‘Timmy walked in [and] said, “No, it’s got to be my a**. I’m going to immortalize my a*** on film in perpetuity.’,” O’Leary recalled about the interaction with US Weekly.
So, that’s how the scene took place, with O’Leary spanking Timothee Chalamet with a paddle. The scene initially did not look good to Josh Safdie because O’Leary was seemingly hitting Chalamet too softly. But then they did get the take that was eventually used in the film.
“I wound up like a baseball bat, and I nailed his right cheek, and I think his eyeballs exploded out of his head, and that’s what you see,” O’Leary explained. He went on to call Chalamet a “crazy trooper.”
Marty Supreme also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher. The film will release in theatres on December 25, 2025.
