While the video was intended as a celebratory recap, one comment in particular sparked backlash online. In the clip, Alabama said her dad “went a little crazy” at the lingerie store, later adding that her stepmother, Kourtney Kardashian, helped select most of the pieces. Some viewers interpreted the statement as implying that Travis personally chose his adult daughter’s underwear.
In response, Alabama posted a follow-up TikTok, delivering a heated rant aimed at shutting down what she described as a false narrative. She alleged that the lingerie was on her Christmas wish list and that her father simply “wanted to make it happen.” According to Alabama, Travis asked Kourtney to handle the shopping instead.
“You think my dad’s like, ‘oh I’m going to pick my daughter’s lingerie’? No,” Alabama said in the video. She also referenced the 2004 film “Mean Girls” while dismissing critics, signaling how absurd she felt the situation had become.
The backlash itself, Alabama claimed, felt unnecessary and intrusive. She argued that buying “cute panties and bras” shouldn’t automatically be sexualized, particularly when the recipient is an adult.
