Diddy’s Sons Release Trailer for New Documentary Questioning ‘Innocence’

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sons, Justin and Christian, are releasing a new documentary about their father’s federal trial. The brothers are sharing the hip-hop mogul’s story in response to the controversial Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

The shamed rapper is now serving a 50-month prison term on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He is scheduled for release in May 2028.

The unnamed documentary’s trailer dropped Sunday night, December 28. In it, Sean’s sons, Justin and Christian, are apparently watching their father’s courthouse footage as they are bombarded with questions, like, “How did you feel hearing that testimony? Do you believe your fathers’ innocence? It’s like O.J. [Simpson] all over again.” In the trailer’s conclusion, Diddy phones his two sons from Fort Dix prison.

In response, Lemuel Plummer, CEO of Zeus, the network running Christian and Justin’s documentary, says the documentary lets Justin and Christian “share their personal story. We’re not here to endorse Diddy or anyone else.” Instead, he says Zeus allows individuals to share their experiences.

Meanwhile, the imprisoned Diddy is contemplating legal action, possibly taking the streaming service Netflix and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson to court for The Reckoning. He contends the footage of him six days before his arrest was illegally obtained. Diddy’s team also responded, calling the documentary a “shameful hit piece.”

However, the documentary’s director, Alexandria Stapleton, says this is not true. “It came to us, we obtained the footage legally and have the necessary rights,” she clarifies. “We moved heaven and earth to keep the filmmaker’s identity confidential. One thing about Sean Combs is that he’s always filming himself, and it’s been an obsession throughout the decades.”
