One person who won’t be fretting about getting through the 86 days of January is Prince William. We all know the future king isn’t exactly likely to have money worries. But the actual sums at his disposal are pretty shocking. A new report published by the Duchy of Cornwall has revealed just how much William receives in one year.
Prince William made a hefty amount of money in 2025

According to the Duchy of Cornwall’s Integrated Annual Report for 2025, William received a whopping $31 million (£22.9 million) for the 2024-2025 financial year.
The Duchy of Cornwall is a centuries-old collection of land and businesses that automatically provides the British heir to the throne with a large private income. William inherited the estate when the Queen died in 2022 and Charles became king. The estate is worth a staggering $1 billion, and consists of a portfolio of land, property, farms, businesses, and investments across England and Wales.
The income William receives from the estate isn’t all fun money, though. It covers his household and staff expenses, as well as his official and charitable work. Once William ascends the throne, the Duchy of Cornwall estate and title will pass to his eldest son, Prince George.
The income from the Duchy of Cornwall is William’s main income, but it’s not his only source of wealth. He’s also likely to have received hefty personal inheritances from the Queen Mother and Princess Diana.
William has previously revealed how he tries to talk about his family’s privilege with his kids. Speaking to the Sunday Times, he said: “They [will] grow up knowing that actually, do you know what, some of us are very fortunate, some of us need a little bit of a helping hand, some of us need to do a bit more where we can to help others improve their lives.”
One person who will probably be particularly green-eyed about the huge wealth at William’s disposal is Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The disgraced former royal is said to be battling to stay in his grand estate after reportedly being given the boot by the monarchy.
