Sharon Stone Reacts After Son Roan Announces Engagement

Sharon Stone has a lot to be grateful for this holiday season. The Primetime Emmy Award winner will soon have a daughter in her family, specifically a daughter-in-law. Her eldest son Roan is getting married.

Roan is one of three children Sharon adopted this century, turning 25 in May. His adopted mother and father, Phil Bronstein, divorced in 2004. Laird joined the Stone family the following year, and Quinn came around in June 2006. Since adopting kids, Sharon has often put motherhood ahead of her career in film.

Sharon couldn’t be more excited to welcome another female figure into her extended family. During a romantic Christmas holiday last week, Roan popped the question to girlfriend, Anya Yevtushenko, who said yes.

The marriage appears to have Sharon’s blessing, with a close friend of the Basic Instinct actress telling the Daily Mail, “Sharon is over the moon.” They add that family is the most important thing for her, and that she wants nothing but happiness for her kids.

Anya left Ukraine in 2020 for Canada and works in marketing for an environmental services company. She’s apparently not only won over Sharon and Roan but the whole Stone family. The relationship between Roan and Anya has grown as the former builds his career as an executive in the entertainment business.

Family means a lot to Sharon, with the actress previously opening up about the devastation she felt when Phil got custody of Roan in 2004. She and Roan still maintained a close relationship despite that.

In 2019, to honor his adopted family, Roan changed his name to Roan Joseph Bronstein Stone. He says he’s grateful for all the love and support Sharon gave him as he pursued his dream of a career in the entertainment industry. Sharon shared earlier this year how she almost died of a stroke in 2001.
