We won’t get a chance to attach the words boyfriend and girlfriend to Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre. A source says that the two have split up. The reason for the breakup is unclear, with the only word being that they have gone their separate ways.
The news comes as we prepare to say goodbye to 2025 with Teyana up for a Golden Globe next year for her role in the film One Battle After Another. She and the Mufasa actor were spotted together at numerous events this year, on many occasions romantically flirting with one another.
Teyana and Aaron dated for less than a year
Teyana might not have to worry about whether to use the boyfriend label on Aaron. That’s a word she was hesitant to use, though at some point it might be one she would be ok with saying. If the speculation is true, that may be a burden off her shoulders.
Sources told Page Six that the couple had broken up. Their time together was short-lived, with their relationship lasting less than a year. It wasn’t until June that many were convinced without a doubt about Teyana and Aaron’s romantic involvement. That’s when the All’s Fair actress posted a tribute to Aaron on her Instagram page with a series of photos from the latter’s 31st birthday bash.
Not long after that, the couple attended the BET Awards together in Los Angeles. Following that, Aaron was there for Teyana’s album launch. He was also with her on the red carpet for the London premiere of One Battle After Another.
Last month, Teyana referred to Aaron as her “apple pie,” saying they were each other’s safe space. Their reported breakup comes during what promises to be a busy time for both. Teyana is sure to be walking her share of red carpets with One Battle After Another generating Oscar buzz. Aaron, meanwhile, has three upcoming movies scheduled for release, including GOAT, which comes out in February.
