Love can often come when we least expect it. That seems to have happened to Kathy Griffin, who shocked fans with her latest bombshell reveal. The My Life on the D-List star got divorced from Randy Bick at the start of 2025 but found comfort in the arms of another not long after.
The comedian says she dated someone with whom she instantly connected and felt safe around. She admits he was 23, leaving a significant age gap between them. Kathy is 65.
Kathy said the romance was accidental
While Kathy has proudly admitted to being a cougar, dating someone in their 20s was not something she had anticipated. “I accidentally fell in love with a 23-year-old,” Kathy revealed in an essay published by The Cut. She says that he didn’t have the typical sexism, misogyny, and biases that guys her age tend to have.
Despite the age difference, Kathy says she felt instantly comfortable with the young man, whom she respected. Unfortunately, she says she knew because of her baggage that their romance couldn’t last. Kathy has been married twice and earned hate for depicting Donald Trump a couple of times with a bloody severed head. She also got suspended from Twitter in 2022 for impersonating Elon Musk and last month branded her late brother as a pedophile.
Because of all of that, Kathy says she set him free. Breaking up with him was not easy, with the comedian admitting she really loved him. Kathy says he made her feel smart and sexy.
Dating people her age is not a habit Kathy subscribes to. She admits that she’s not done that since her 30s. According to her, she has only been asked out by younger guys, while claiming to always beiung honest about her age on online dating platforms.
Her second husband was 18 years younger than her. Her first Matt Moline was born over 10 years after Kathy.
