Kobe Bryant‘s wife, Vanessa Bryant, has expressed her gratitude for Taylor Swift‘s quiet show of support. In a recent Instagram story, the late NBA legend’s widow shared an emotional response to the singer’s meaningful gesture.
Vanessa Bryant comments on Taylor Swift’s tribute
Vanessa Bryant has posted an emotional shoutout to Taylor Swift for supporting the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation. The nonprofit organization was renamed in honor of the tragic deaths of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna in the 2020 helicopter crash. A moment from Swift’s End of an Era docuseries shows the singer wearing a blue sweatshirt bearing the Foundation’s logo.
This supportive gesture has caught Vanessa Bryant’s attention, who has thanked Swift in a sweet Instagram story. On December 31, the late NBA legend’s widow posted a screenshot of Swift wearing the shirt, along with a caption saying, “What a gift. We love you @taylorswift!!!!!!”
Bryant followed up with a second story featuring a photo of the title page from End of an Era on Disney+, tagging the official Instagram account of the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation. She completed the story with a “we love you!” graphic above the photo.
Swift shares a long-standing friendship with Vanessa Bryant. The latter previously attended the Grammy-winning songstress’s August 2023 Eras Tour concert in Los Angeles, where her daughter, Bianka, also received a “22” hat from Swift.
Swift’s End of an Era is a six-part documentary miniseries that chronicles the making of her record-breaking Eras Tour. The concert tour ran from March 2023 to December 2024 and became the highest-grossing tour of all time. Additionally, it was the first concert tour to generate over $2 billion in revenue.
Meanwhile, fans are now looking forward to the upcoming nuptials of Swift and her fiancé, Travis Kelce. After two years of dating, the couple announced their engagement in August 2025, with a joint Instagram post. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift captioned the post.
