Details are coming to light about why a TikTok star rang in the New Year behind bars. Franky Venegas was arrested for alleged drug-related offenses in Florida.
He and his brother, Alex, are well-known in the TikTok universe, with over 7.5 million subscribers on their channel, Flyysoulja. He and his brother are popularly known as the Island Boys. Franky has made headlines not just for his social media images but also for his troubles with the law. His most recent arrest is one of many he has had this decade.
Franky Venegas’ debit card allegedly had fentanyl residue on it
Franky is no stranger to a jail cell, though his recent arrest is a little different than past allegations against him. According to the sheriff’s report obtained by TMZ, the social media star was pulled over for a routine traffic stop this week. He’d reportedly been acting suspiciously.
Upon searching his vehicle, deputies reportedly found unprescribed Zolpidem tartrate, otherwise known as Ambien. In addition to that, there was said to be drug paraphernalia which tested positive for fentanyl, including on his debit card. His card was allegedly coated in white powder.
As a result, Franky is facing one drug paraphernalia charge, spending Wednesday evening at the Collier County Jail in Naples, Florida. He had no bond this time around because he’d previously been released on a previous allegation in February. Back then, he’d been arrested for allegedly delivering/possessing, and stealing a firearm with an altered serial number.
He and Alex rose to fame in 2021 when their song, I’m an Island Boy went viral. The brothers have had their share of celebrity feuds, including one with boxer Jake Paul. The man who became famous for his videos with brother Logan has generated controversy since becoming a boxer. Fellow boxer Anthony Joshua said in November that Jake was making a mockery of the sport.
Franky had previously been accused of domestic abuse and battery on multiple occasions.
