There will be at least one notable absence when Tatiana Schlossberg is laid to rest. The environmental journalist died on December 30 from acute myeloid leukemia.
The mother of two publicly shared her diagnosis and what she was suffering from in an emotional essay to The New Yorker in November. When the family celebrates her life and legacy, her uncle Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will not be in attendance. The granddaughter of former US President John F. Kennedy leaves behind a son and a daughter during her marriage to physician George Moran.
RFK Jr. won’t receive an invite to the late Tatiana Schlossberg’s funeral
The Kennedys evidently don’t want any unnecessary attention for Tatiana’s funeral. That’s why Robert will not be on the guest list for the service. According to Rob Shuter’s Substack Naughty But Nice, the environmental lawyer won’t attend the funeral because the family is “trying to shield the kids and manage their grief without extra public scrutiny or controversy.”
The 2024 Presidential candidate has been under fire following reports that he had an affair with New York magazine journalist Olivia Nuzzi in 2024. She did say the relationship was not physical but strictly personal. RFK Jr was spotted in December at a Diplo gig in Aspen, Colorado.
Tatiana’s brother, Jack, is said to be having a difficult time not only with his sister’s death. He’s reportedly trying to help RFK Jr. take care of his two kids.
The late environmental journalist had been critical of her uncle while alive. She previously alleged RFK Jr. had cut nearly half a billion dollars for research into mRNA vaccines and technology that could be used to help treat certain cancers. Tatiana had spent a good portion of her life under medical care.
The late daughter of Caroline Kennedy has been very open about her famous family’s troubled past, including her grandfather’s assassination during his time as President. RFK Jr. currently serves as Secretary of Health and Human Services under US President Donald Trump.
